The unique 17 acre former EWEB property along the Willamette River provides a remarkable opportunity to create an iconic museum for the city and region.  This museum could drive cultural, social and economic interests in an exciting new way.  The Museum could also provide a way to interpret the history of the steam plant whose ownership is retained by the City of Eugene.

The architect’s rendering below shows the museum built adjacent to the Steam Plant (far left) which would provide the advantages of a new structure and also the possibility of conducting tours of the historic plant.
